ACT is an audition-based, elite-level musical theatre training program designed for high school students who are serious about pursuing excellence in musical theatre. With instruction led by Atlanta’s top professionals—including guest artists and educators with Broadway experience—ACT provides rigorous, conservatory-style training in voice, acting, and dance.
Students will refine their technique, deepen their artistic confidence, and gain the tools needed to thrive in college programs and professional environments. ACT fosters not only talent, but discipline, collaboration, and a deep appreciation for the craft of musical theatre.
The program at ACT consists of three classes:
1. MT Performance Team (strongly recommended)
2. Combo Class
3. Chorus Lab
Classes are outlined below. You can also choose to submit your audition or simply submit a note of interest. Classes will begin the week of August 4, 2025.

A Core Component of ACT: Advanced Conservatory Training for Musical Theatre (strongly encouraged foundational class)
The Performance Team is a foundational class that focuses on the three essential disciplines of musical theatre: singing, dancing, and acting. Open exclusively to students enrolled in ACT, this high-energy, technique-driven class meets weekly and is required for all participants.
Students will strengthen vocal technique, expand dance vocabulary, and sharpen acting skills through ensemble work and individual performance opportunities. The Performance Team fosters collaboration, discipline, and the versatility required of today’s musical theatre artists—all in a supportive, fast-paced environment led by top-tier instructors. We guarantee three plus performances in each seasion.

Dance Technique for the Versatile Musical Theatre Performer (optional class)
The Combo Class is a weekly dance training session designed to build strong, versatile dancers who are confident in any musical theatre setting. Meeting every Wednesday evening, this class emphasizes foundational dance terminology, proper technique, and adaptability across multiple styles, including jazz, ballet, musical theatre, and more.
Perfect for students looking to improve their precision, confidence, and physical storytelling, Combo provides a supportive environment for dancers of varying experience levels. Led by professional instructors, this class helps students develop the skills they need to stand out in auditions and shine on stage.

Vocal Musicianship and Ensemble Excellence (optional class)
Chorus Lab is a weekly class focused on developing the essential musical skills every musical theatre performer needs. Through intensive work on harmony, part-singing, and ensemble blend, students will improve their ability to read music, follow vocal arrangements, and adapt to a variety of musical styles—from Golden Age classics to contemporary scores.
Designed to strengthen both individual musicianship and group cohesion, Chorus Lab helps students become confident, flexible ensemble singers. Whether preparing for a college audition, a professional rehearsal, or a live performance, this class builds the vocal precision and musical understanding that set great performers apart.
