Serious Training. Real Growth. Future Stars.
ACT Jr is Atlanta’s newest elite musical theatre program designed specifically for middle school students ready to level up their training. More than just preparing for the next show, ACT Jr builds a strong foundation in proper technique, industry terminology, audition skills, and professional rehearsal etiquette—equipping young performers with the tools they need to thrive on any stage.
Whether stepping into an open call or taking part in a theatre festival, students need more than stage time—they need real training. ACT Jr fills the gap, inspiring passionate young artists to grow into confident, knowledgeable performers, ready to meet the moment every time.
NEW! Both ACT and ACT Jr students will also rehearse a musical in their respective classes and come together to perform a spectacular showcase in our end-of-season showcase!
ACT Jr Weekly Training – Thursdays, 5:30-8PM (starting January 8)
This weekly intensive class gives middle school performers focused training in all three core disciplines of musical theatre: acting, voice, and dance. Each session also includes targeted audition prep to help students feel confident and ready for any casting opportunity. It’s the perfect all-in-one training night for young performers serious about leveling up.
The fall semester will be primarily a period of training where students build upon skills that will last them their entire lives. Students will perform in a short showcase on the final day of the fall semester in December.
The spring semester will begin with a review of everything they've learned and we will immediately jump into rehearsals for a semester showcase, which will be approximately 30-45 minutes in length. This will feature group numbers, solos, duets and more. We will have more information on this spectacular performance opportunity soon!
AIMT shares space with The Studios Brookhaven, a 7,000-square-foot performing arts facility featuring a spacious dance studio, a black box theatre-style space, and six private music studios—all equipped with acoustic pianos—providing young performers with a professional and inspiring environment to train and grow.
